Phantomics, a leading medical imaging AI company (Co-CEOs Byungwook Choi and Panki Kim), announced that it has supplied Myomics, an AI-powered cardiac MRI analysis and diagnosis solution, to Severance Hospital.
Myomics is an AI solution designed to analyze cardiac MRI images, aiding in the early detection and precise diagnosis of major myocardial diseases such as heart failure and myocardial infarction. Since myocardial diseases are among the leading causes of death globally, accurate diagnosis and early detection of high-risk patients are crucial factors in improving survival rates.
The company explained that some faculty members at Severance Hospital had previously used Myomics for research purposes and validated its clinical feasibility. Following this, Severance Hospital officially adopted the solution in the Cardiothoracic Division of the Radiology Department, enabling its full-scale use in clinical practice. This implementation is expected to significantly reduce cardiac MRI reading times, allowing patients to receive results on the same day of their scan and minimizing treatment delays.
