10-minute non-contrast MRI solution aims to transform premium health checkups
Phantomics, a South Korean medical AI company, has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Yujeong Meditech, a leading medical device distributor, to introduce a premium cardiac screening package based on non-contrast cardiac MRI and AI analysis.
The solution combines Phantomics’ flagship AI platform Myomics with a specialized MRI protocol that enables heart scans without contrast agents, completed in under 10 minutes. The AI then analyzes the images in less than 5 minutes, allowing for same-day diagnosis of conditions such as myocarditis, heart failure, and myocardial infarction.
This partnership targets the health screening center market, offering a safer, faster, and more accurate alternative to traditional cardiac exams. The package is expected to launch in early 2026, with Yujeong Meditech leveraging its nationwide hospital network for distribution.
Phantomics has already received FDA 510(k) and Japan PMDA certifications for Myomics, and the solution is used in over 20 hospitals in Korea and several international institutions. It has also won multiple awards, including the CES 2024 Innovation Award and the KHF 2025 Innovation Award.
CEO Pan Ki Kim stated, “This collaboration will make advanced cardiac diagnostics accessible to more people through routine health checkups. Our goal is to detect heart disease early, even before symptoms appear.”
