Strategic MOU aims to enhance clinical accuracy and real-world application of heart disease AI

Phantomics, a South Korean medical AI company, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Yonsei University’s School of Digital Healthcare to jointly develop and refine AI technologies for diagnosing heart disease.

The partnership focuses on:

  • Co-developing AI algorithms for cardiac MRI and CT analysis
  • Creating clinical validation protocols and real-world testing environments
  • Building educational programs for medical professionals
  • Expanding industry-academic collaboration networks

Phantomics is known for its AI solutions Myomics and Angiomics, which analyze cardiac MRI and CT scans in under 5 minutes with biopsy-level precision. These technologies are already in use at major hospitals such as Severance Hospital, Seoul National University Hospital, and Asan Medical Center, and have received FDA and PMDA certifications.

Prof. Yoon Chul Kim, head of Yonsei’s Digital Healthcare Department, stated, “Phantomics is one of the few companies with clinically validated AI technology. This partnership will help bridge academic research and practical medical applications.”

Phantomics CEO Pan Ki Kim added, “Collaborating with Yonsei University will allow us to enhance the clinical utility of our AI and accelerate its adoption in real-world healthcare settings.”
