Phantomics’ Myomics AI transforms cardiac MRI diagnostics
Phantomics, a South Korean medical AI startup, has developed Myomics, an AI-powered cardiac MRI analysis solution that can detect heart disease in under 5 minutes, a breakthrough in diagnostic speed and accuracy.
Cardiac MRI is one of the most precise tools for diagnosing heart conditions, but traditionally requires 20–30 minutes of manual analysis by specialists. Myomics automates this process using deep learning, enabling rapid and accurate detection of conditions such as heart failure, myocarditis, myocardial infarction, and amyloidosis.
The solution has received FDA 510(k) clearance and is currently deployed in over 20 hospitals in Korea, as well as in Japan, Taiwan, and Singapore. It was also awarded the CES 2024 Innovation Award, highlighting its global recognition.
Phantomics was co-founded by Prof. Byung Wook Choi of Severance Hospital and Dr. Pan Ki Kim, a medical physicist. The company has also established a U.S. subsidiary at the CIC Center in Boston, aiming to expand into the American cardiovascular diagnostics market.
CEO Pan Ki Kim stated, “This technology allows us to detect heart disease before symptoms appear. Our goal is to make cardiac diagnostics faster, safer, and more accessible worldwide.”
